Lucille Poulson, 75

Services for Lucille Poulson, 75 of Blair, who died at her home January 1, 1996 were Monday, January 8 at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial was in the Orum Cemetery.

Lucille Poulson, was born July 3, 1920 in Blair to Niels N. and Edla Carlsen Poulson, Sr. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum.

She attended school in Blair, graduating from Blair High School in 1938.

She went to work in the county clerk’s office upon her graduation and assumed the county clerk position in 1958. She remained in that position until 1972.

From 1972 to 1973, she worked for the president of Wilkinson Manufacturing in Fort Calhoun. From 1973 to 1990, she worked for the Corps of Engineers in the real estate department, later as secretary in the accounting department, and later as an appraiser in the real estate department.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and served as secretary for many years. She was also a charter member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and a member of the Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Blair American Legion Auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge and First Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Chris, Raymond, Russell, Donald and Niels.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Wanda Poulson, Blair; a nephew, Gary Poulson, Rochester, Minnesota; a niece, Sally Baertschi, Andover, Minnesota; a great-nephew, Alan Baertschi, Andover and numerous cousins.

Lucille was a member of the Royal Neighbors, serving as secretary for many years; a member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles; the Blair VFW Auxiliary; the Blair American Legion; Rebekah Lodge; and First Lutheran Church.

She is survived in death by her sister-in-law, Wanda Poulson, Blair, Nebraska; nephew, Gary Poulson, Rochester, Minnesota, niece, Sally Baertschi, Andover, Minnesota; great nephew, Alan Baertschi, Andover, Minnesota; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Chris, Raymond, Russell, Donald, and Niels.

Burial will be in the Orum Cemetery.
