Funeral services are today, Thursday, February 14, at 10:30 a.m. for James W. Pounds who died February 11, 1980, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services are at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Gordon Patterson will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

James W. Pounds was born in Blair on March 10, 1907, to James L. and Margaret Schmidt Pounds. He married Thelma Leonard, who preceded him in death. He was associated with the Postal Service in Omaha.

Two brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, James D. Pounds of Blair, and two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Sue) Reyzlik of Blair and Mrs. Fred (Sally) Lew of Omaha. The grandchildren and two great-grand-children also survive him.

Katie Flynn is organist.

Pallbearers were James M. Pounds, Jon Pounds, Ron Newell, Ron Reyzlik, Robert Pounds and George Olsen.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the service.
