Kenneth Asher Pound, 91, died Sunday, October 6, 1985, at his residence. He was born November 18, 1893, the son of Albert Orlando and Martha R. Pound of Blair.

In 1912 he graduated from a Chicago, Illinois business school and in 1913 he moved to O’Neill where he owned the O’Neill Clothing Store.

He married Fereida F. Downey, December 27, 1916 in O’Neill.

He was a resident of Blair since 1926 when he opened the Pounds Clothes Shop. Later he traveled for Woodward and Brach’s Candy companies and was district agent for Air-Way Sanitizer Cleaners until he retired in 1956 due to ill health.

Survivors include his wife of Blair; two daughters, Helen Kronberg of Westminster, Colorado, and Barbara Evers of Corona del Mar, California; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Note: Kenneth was cremated and not buried until April 3, 1993. He and his wife were buried at the same time.
