Kenneth and Fereida Pound

Memorial services for Kenneth Asher Pound and Fereida Faye Pound, will be Saturday, April 3 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair. Burial of the remains will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Kenneth Asher Pound was born November 18, 1893 at Blair to Albert Orlando and Martha R. Stockton Pound. He married Fereida Faye Downey and was a salesman for the Brach Candy Company.

He died at home October 6, 1985 at the age of 91 and was cremated.

Fereida Faye Pound was born April 3, 1898 at Star, Nebraska to Charles E. and Minnie May Balus Downey. She was a hair dresser and was married to Kenneth A. Pound until he preceded her in death October 6, 1985.

She died at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair January 25, 1993 at the age of 94. She was also cremated.

Survivors include two daughters, Helen Kronberg of Denver and Barbara Evers of Corona del Mar, California; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

There will be a reception for friends in the undercroft of the church following the services.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair, St. Mary’s Academy in O’Neill or Crowell Memorial Home.
