SOREN J. POULSON RITES FRIDAY

Soren J. Poulson met his death Wednesday morning apparently by his own hand. He, with his brother, Martin and Martin’s son, lived together on a farm southwest of Orum.

Soren had of late been despondent and on Wednesday morning arose earlier than usual and went to the farm adjoining where he had been farming. As he did not return, Martin became uneasy and he and his son instituted a search. The body was found behind a building, and a bullet from a rifle had pierced his heart. A brief note found on the body indicated that he had taken his own life.

Soren was born on the farm where he died. He was born March 1, 1888, and was thus past 53 years of age. He had never married. He leaves to mourn him his two brothers, Martin on the farm and Carl of Omaha and a sister, Mrs. John W. Fick of Blair, besides several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held from the Bendorf Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Friday, and interment will be made in the Orum cemetery.
