CARRIE CHRISTENSEN DIES SATURDAY IN BLAIR

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, at Campbell Funeral Home for Carrie Augusta Christensen, 78, who died August 22, 1981, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Rev. Carl Schattauer will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

Carrie Augusta Christensen was born in Kennard, Nebraska, November 19, 1902, to August and Emma Beckman Matzen. A homemaker, she was married to Niels E. Christensen, who preceded her in death. She was a resident of Good Shepherd Home at the time of her death.

She is survived by two sons, James L. Christensen, Blair, and Milo Christensen, Blair; and one daughter, Mrs. James (Leona) Thone, Blair. Eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Chris Matzen, St. Helens, Oregon; and Wm. Matzen, Willington, Colorado, also survive her.

Pallbearers will be Brent Thone, Dennis Thone, Michael Christensen, Paul Christensen, Darcey Butts, and Donald Jensen.

Katy Flynn will be organist. Homer Nielsen will provide the vocal music.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
