Services for Cecile M. Christensen, 94 of Fontanelle who died March 5, 1994 at the home of her daughter in Fontanelle were Sunday, March 6 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial was Monday at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Cecile Nelson was born November 30, 1899 at Norman, Oklahoma. She moved to Saunders County as a child and lived at Leshara after her marriage for four years. A homemaker, she later lived in rural Washington and Dodge Counties. She moved to Fremont in 1965 and to Fontanelle in September, 1992.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont.

She married Harry Christensen, June 26, 1917 in Fremont. He preceded her in death August 7, 1975. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, a son and two granddaughters.

She is survived by two daughters, Doris Happel of Nickerson and Joanne Holtman of Fontanelle; a brother, Harold of Oregon; three sister, Corra Thomas of Leshara, Inez Wilmer of Fremont and Marceline Snyder of California; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established to the church and the American Diabetes Association.
