SERVICES FOR ANNA R. DEY TO BE ON THURSDAY

Services for Anna R. Dey will be held on Tuesday, July 25th. Mrs. Dey died July 22nd at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Anna R. Dey was born at Mt. Pulaski, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wolf on March 28, 1886. She came to Gresham, Nebraska with her parents as a small child. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church near Gresham and married Louis J. Dey October 18, 1905. They farmed near Gresham and were members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church until they moved to a farm at Ft. Calhoun in 1920.

She is survived by her children, Arnold of Walnut; Harold of Columbus; Agnes and Carlos of Ft. Calhoun; Nadeen of Manhattan, Kansas; Lucille of Omaha; and Marjorie of Blair. One son, Donald, was deceased in 1956. There are 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother and 4 sisters. Preceding her in death were 2 brothers and 1 sister.

The family was members of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Florence. Anna’s membership dates 58 years there.

For the past 11 years, she has been a resident of the Good Shepherd Home at Blair. Anna was a devout Christian. She enjoyed providing a happy home for her family.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Norman Dey, Neal Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Bill Briggs, Carl Nord, Kenneth Smith and John Eggleston.

Services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Florence, Reverend Thomas Burton officiating on Tuesday, July 25 at 10 a.m. Interment at Ft. Calhoun Cemetery with Sprick and Siever’s Mortuary at Ft. Calhoun.
