ENID DETJENS

Services for Enid M. Detjens, 75, who died June 4, 1986, were held Saturday, June 7, at Campbell Funeral Home at 11 a.m. The Rev. Thorvald Hansen officiated and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Detjens was born May 4, 1911, the daughter of Chris and Anna Petersen of Elk Horn, Iowa. Mrs. Detjens was raised in Kimballton, Iowa, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Kimballton Danish Lutheran Church.

She married Claus Henry Detjens in Columbus on February 18, 1937. The couple lived on a farm west of Omaha until moving west of Blair in 1946.

Survivors include one son, Russel of Blair; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Sandra) Garrison of Dallas, Texas; and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Greene of Natchez, Mississippi; two brothers, Melvin Petersen and Russell Petersen, both of Harlan, Iowa; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Pallbearers were Randy Sterner, Don Anderson, Lyle Christiansen, Rudy Fuhrman, Robert Petersen and Arnold Frahm.

Organist was Clare Cowing and vocalist was Homer Nielsen.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair was in charge of arrangements.
