Frederick W. Meyer passed away February 11, 1974 in the Blair Hospital at the age of 62.

Frederick was born November 11, 1911 in Omaha to Frederick and Rose Meyer. He was married to Margaret W. Peters on September 28, 1945 in Omaha and adopted her seven children. They lived most of their life in Omaha, then they lived in Kennard for three years and recently moved to Blair. Frederick was a baker at the Peter Pan Bakery in Omaha and after he retired, he worked in the Crosby Kunold Burket Mortuary. He belonged to the American Lodge 394 and Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard.

Frederick is survived by his wife, Margaret, five daughters: Mrs. Daniel (Anna Marie) McHugh of Woodbine, Iowa; Mrs. Dick (Catherine) Stone of Honey Creek, Iowa, Mrs. Duane (Dorothy) Phillippe of Omaha, Mrs. Marjorie McHugh of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Mrs. Richard (Ethel) Hearn of Carter Lake, Iowa, two sons, Erwin Kruse of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Kenneth, of Honey Creek, Iowa 37 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one brother, Walter of Omaha.

Services were held at the Crosby Kunold Burket Mortuary at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 1974. Interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Park with graveside service by the American Lodge NO. 394 IOOF. Pastor Joseph C. Myers officiated.

Soloist was Mel Olsen and organist was Gertrude A. Hoden. The Rebecca Sisters 404 and the Navy Mothers Club 42 served a lunch at the First Grace Gospel in Omaha.
