Larry Meyer

Services for Larry A. Meyer, 48, of Arlington, who died of cancer on Monday, November 10, 1986, at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, were held Wednesday, November 12, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Charles B. Anderson of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiated and burial was in Westside Cemetery near Oakland.

Military services were conducted by the Fremont American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts.

Meyer was born August 27, 1938, in Omaha the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer. He moved to Oakland with his parents in 1948 and remained there until he entered the U.S. Navy after graduating from Oakland High School.

Following his discharge from the service Meyer returned to the area, moved to Los Angeles, California, and returned to the area six years ago.

He was married to Sandra Paine Schreck on August 21, 1976 in Mexico.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Hollywood, California, and a member of the Fremont American Legion Post until his illness forced him to become inactive.

Survivors include his wife of Arlington; sons, Robert and Todd, both of Lincoln, Sp 4 Randall of the U.S. Army in Germany, Troy and Jeffery, both of Arlington; daughters Mrs. Robert (Theresa) Weaver of Fremont, Mrs. Kevin (Wanda) Savoie of Santa Fe, Texas, Mrs. Jim (Roxanne) Koci of fremont, and Mrs. Rick (JoAnn) Rohwer of Fremont; his parents of Oakland; brothers Terry Schnick of Glendale, Arizona, and Tom Hill of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. G. K. (Sharon) Taylor of Omaha; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Delbert Braesch, James Swenson, Ronald Swenson, Mick Grefe, Jerry Schlueter and Lee Stork.

Organist was Mrs. Verne Bray and soloist was Mrs. Charles Anderson.

Memorials are suggested to be given to the American Cancer Society.

Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
