Death of Edward Pritchard

Edward Pritchard was born January 11, 1857, in New York state.

His parents emigrated from New York to Wisconsin, thence to Washington county, Neb. in 1869. He was married to Margaret I. Bunt at Blair, Neb., in 1878. To this union were born nine children of whom eight survive him, --Mrs. Florence McCracken, Mrs. Jessie Meyers, Mrs. Amanda Leach, Mrs. Chelsa Ameens and James, David, Wesley Pritchard.

While Mr. Pritchard was subject to recurring attacks, yet his death was entirely sudden and unexpected. He, along with several others, attended the Reese French sale on the day before he was stricken, and the end came early Sunday morning, January 15.

Funeral services were held at the Grace Methodist Episcopal church by the pastor, Rev. Dr. Hiller. At the grave the service of the Modern Woodmen of America was observed and concluded with the service by the pastor.

Note: Edward is buried in Blk 6 Lot 29 Sp 5 in the Kennard Cemetery.
