Otto W. Prigge, 74

Services for Otto W. Prigge, 74 of rural Hooper who died Oct. 9, 1996 at Arbor Manor in Fremont were Sat. Oct. 12 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. Rev. Timothy J. Gierke officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Otto W. Prigge was born Sept. 13, 1922 to Henry and Lizzie Bohling Prigge on the family farm in Washington County. He grew up there on the farm.

He served in the U.S. Army between 1945-46 during World War II, seeing duty in the Panama Canal Zone and the islands of that area.

Following his military service, he returned to the Hooper area where he farmed until becoming ill about seven months ago.

He was a long-time member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hooper and was currently a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Clara Kraemer and two brothers, Paul Prigge and an infant brother Earl.

He is survived by two sisters, Edna Prigge of Fremont and Nora Prigge of rural Hooper.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Ludvigsen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
