Ernest T. Prochaska, 80

Ernest T. Prochaska, 80, of Blair, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Seward Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec.6, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the church.

Ernest Thomas Prochaska was born Nov. 4, 1925, at Dwight to Ernest and Marie (Kriz) Prochaska. He lived in Dwight, Aurora, Ulysses, Seward and Omaha and, since 1970, in Blair.

He was a World War II veteran, and served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946.

On Aug. 5, 1950, he married Helen Krejci at Ravenna.

Mr. Prochaska was employed by the Omaha Public Schools for more than 22 years, retiring in 1988.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Ann Prochaska; and grand-son and family, all of Springfield; stepsister, Erma (Mrs. Leonard) Skoda of Wahoo; stepbrothers and spouses, Herb and Ann Townsley of Hinesville, Ga., Gene and Dee Payne of Wahoo, Emil and Myrtle Krejci of O’Fallon, Mo.; many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Francis Borgia Building Fund.
