Funeral services were Tuesday, October 9 at the Presbyterian Church in Fremont for Lumir A. Prochaska, 92 of Fremont who died October 5, 1990 at Arbor Manor in Fremont. Rev. David Hansen officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Lumir A. Prochaska was born August 12, 1898 at Prague. He was raised there and attended school there. He also attended Fremont Normal School for a year.

He farmed southwest of Prague until moving to a farm ten miles northwest of North Bend in 1934. He farmed there until March 1, 1951 when he returned to the family farm near Prague. He farmed there until his retirement in 1981, when he moved to Fremont.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of North Bend and the Western Fraternal Life Association in Morse Bluff.

He married Henrietta Houska June 12, 1928 in Wahoo. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughter, Dee Lores of Fremont, Bessie Turner of Arlington and Janice Shuman of Omaha; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
