MRS. HENRY PROCHNOW DIES NEAR FT. CALHOUN

After a short illness, Mrs. Henry Prochnow died at her home near Ft. Calhoun, on Friday, Nov. 25, ages 61 years.

Ernestine Hoff was born in Germany Sept. 29, 1854, and came direct to Nebraska where she has since resided. She was married the same year to Henry Prochnow and was the mother of ten children, seven of whom survive her. They are Mrs. John Molaskey, Mrs. Claus Ohrt, August, Henry, William, Albert and Miss Louise Prochnow. Three sisters are also left to mourn her death. They are Mrs. Matilda Newman of Bennington, Mrs. Minnie Ebner and Mrs. Bertha Thaden.

After the marriage of Mrs. Prochnow she and Mr. Prochnow took 40 acres of land near Krug Park where they resided until they moved to the present location near Ft. Calhoun in 1884.

The funeral was held from the home on Tuesday at 2 p.m. and was largely attended, Rev. Kupke having charge of the service. Interment was made at Ft. Calhoun.

Henry Prochnow the son who lives at Long Beach, Calif. Arrived Tuesday morning in time for the funeral obsequies.
