Services for Fred Prochnow, 83 of Fort Calhoun who died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair January 17, 1993 will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 20 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Frederick Prochnow was born February 21, 1909 on a farm north of Fort Calhoun to August and Minnie Kuhfahl Prochnow. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Ponca, Nebraska.

He graduated from Fort Calhoun High School in 1926.

He married Dorothy Jensen October 24, 1934 at Omaha. She preceded him in death in February, 1991.

He farmed his entire life, retiring in 1983. Since November, 1991, he had resided with his daughter in Blair.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one brother, William.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Larsen of Omaha, one sister, Marie (Mrs. John) Kelly, Omaha and one brother, Henry Prochnow of Fort Calhoun.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
