Raymond Prochnow, 69

Raymond William Prochnow of Desoto, Tex., died Tuesday, June 3, 1997 after a lengthy illness.

Services were June 7 at David Clayton and Sons Funeral Chapel in Duncanville, Tex. Rev. Gene Welborn officiated. Burial was in Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville.

Prochnow was born March 21, 1928 in Fort Calhoun to William and Margaret (Fuhrman) Prochnow. An army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he had a 39- year career with Alexander Smith Carpets/Mohasco Corp.

Survivors are his wife of 42 years, Sharline Prochnow of Desoto; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Kim Prochnow of Haslet, Tex.; a daughter, Kristi Prochnow of Desoto; a sister, Lillian Prochnow of Fort Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Cliss Prochnow, Chula Vista, Calif.; a brother-in-law, Percy Weathers of Fort Calhoun; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Weathers; and a sister and brother-in-law, Lean and Hans Knag.

Pallbearers were Jerry Vogt, Buddy Dickerson, Jerry Marsh, Terry Bigham, Les Snediker and Steve McLauchlin.
