Services for Clarence Shipley Thursday

Funeral services for Clarence Donald Shipley of Blair will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at the Campbell Funeral Home. Father Daniel Galas will officiate. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Clarence was born Nov. 22, 1914 to C. Guy and Maud May (Myers) Shipley in Morrow County, Ohio. He grew up on the family farm and was employed by the Tappan Stove Company in Mansfield, Ohio, where he became Quality Control Supervisor. He was a member of the company’s Quarter Century Club.

Upon retirement, he made his residence with his daughter and son-in-law in rural Blair. He died Tuesday, March 12, at the Blair Hospital at the age of 70.

Survivors include daughter Mrs. Paul (Judy) Weinfurtner of Blair and Dennis Shipley of Mansfield, Ohio, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters.

Pallbearers are Steve Martin, Paul, Mary and Kurt Weinfurtner. Rosary was said Wednesday night.
