Shipley, Mary Elizabeth (McDonald) 7/18/1942

Note: her tombstone (Mother; Mary E. Shipley; Nov. 13, 1869 – July 18, 1942) is beside (and matches) one for a Mark, not a Martin Shipley (Father; Mark D. Shipley; Aug. 6, 1871-Jan. 18, 1948) . The birth date in the obituary, which reads November 26,1869, does not match the birth date on Mrs. Shipley’s headstone, which reads November 13,1869. The manager of her FindaGrave memorial, Sheila, provided the following information: His name was Marquis Shipley in reality. He was the son of Marquis De"Lafayette" Shipley and the husband of Mary Mc Donald. They called him Mark. I don't know where Martin came from unless they misunderstood his somewhat unusual given name.
