Pallbearers for R.W. Short Services

Serving as pallbearers for the funeral services for R.W. Short, held Friday afternoon at the Bendorf Funeral Home, were George Nelson, Joe DeVinney, Sam Moore, Fred Long, Clarence Brundage and Andrew Beck.

R.W. Short was born in Washington County, Indiana in 1870 and came to this community when he was seven years of age.

Rasmus Short Dies at the Age of 91 (Obituary from Dec. 28, 1961 Enterprise, Blair, Nebraska)

Rasmus Short, 91 years of age, of 709 North 21st Street, died Tuesday evening at Memorial Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Bendorf Funeral Home, the Rev. Gilbert Reiland of the Baptist Church officiating,with interment in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Short is survived by two sons, Emory and Edgar Short, both of Blair; two daughters, Mrs. George Mundorf (Syrilda) of Blair, and Mrs. John Plum (Dorothy) of York; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
