Former Blair resident Rhoda M. Daggett, 90, of La Crosse, Wis., died Nov. 10, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Bethany on Cass Street, La Crosse. Interment will be at Messiah Memorial Garden in North Fort Myers, Fla., at a later date.

Rhoda M. Hansen was born Aug. 3,, 1919, in Audubon, Iowa, to Fred and Carrie (Hansen) Hansen.

On June 7, 1942, she married Herbert “Lee” Daggett in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They moved from Blair in 1969, to Viroqua, Wis., where the couple owned and operated the Coast to Coast Hardware Store until 1985 when they retired and moved to North Fort Myers, Fla. Mrs. Daggett volunteered teaching immigrants the English language. She also enjoyed painting.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Doris Daggett of Onalaska, Wis.; and Keith and Mary Daggett of Mellen, Wis.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and Earl Bengston of Lincolnshire, Ill.; and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Hansen of Santa Monica, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, in 1994; a daughter, Gloria Daggett; an infant brother, Milton Hansen; one brother, Elmer Hansen; and one sister, Vita Jensen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bethany on Cass.

Woodruff-Jandt Funeral Home, La Crosse, is in charge of the arrangements.
