LOIS DAHL

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington for Lois Mae Dahl, wife of Col. C. G. “Con” Dahl, USMC Ret., who died June 3, 1996 in California. A private interment was held at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery.

Lois Mae Dahl was born in Bennington, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neumeyer.

She attended the University of Nebraska, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

She married her high school classmate, Con Dahl in 1945. During her husband’s lengthy military career, she lived in China, Hawaii and various bases in the United States. They had lived in San Diego for the last 24 years.

She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, The Maritime Museum, and the Navajo Republican Women’s Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mabel Neumeyer of Bennington; a daughter and son-in –law, Capt. Chris Nesmond, USCG; sons, Jeffrey, Scott and Matt, all of Honolulu, Hawaii; Lt. Col. Gary Dahl, USMC and his wife, Kathy and daughters, Mikele and Dani of Tampa.

In lieu of flowers , donations in her memory may be directed to the Shriner’s Hospital Transportation Fund, c/o Al Bahr Temple, 5440 Kearny Mesa Rd., San Diego, Calfiornia 92111 or to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington.
