The death of Mrs. Addie Mielenz, of Calhoun, occurred at the family home Monday night after a very brief severe illness. While she had been in a poor condition of health for some time it was not considered as serious.

Mrs. Mielenz was the wife of Henry Mielenz, who conducts the meat market at Calhoun, and is a daughter of Mrs. Wm. Ervey and a sister of Harry Ervey of this city. A number of relatives and friends went down to Calhoun on Tuesday morning’s early train and accompanied the remains to Blair in the afternoon.

The funeral was held at 2 o’clock yesterday, from the home of her mother, in Dexterville, with Rev. F. E. Volck officiating.

Besides the relatives mentioned, there are two daughters, aged about 16 and 13, to mourn the death of a loving mother and the best friend they will ever have. To them, and to the other sorrowing relatives sympathy is offered.

The funeral of Mrs. Henry Milenz was held at the home of her mother, Mrs. Wm. Ervey, at 2 o’clock last Thursday and was largely attended, especially by members of the I.O.O.F. and Rebekah lodges. The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful and the families felt very grateful to the sends thereof. A sister, Mrs. Rosa Ferris, of Belgrade, was delayed on account of the storm and didn’t get here until Thursday evening, so the body was held until the next morning. Burial took place early Friday morning, the body being escorted to the cemetery by a delegation from the I.O.O.F. lodge. The pallbearers were Otto Carmichael, Albert A. Jensen and E. J. Farr, from the I.O.O.F. lodge and J. P. Powers, Benj. F. Peck and Perch Compton.

Note: Since the actual death date was not given, the news article date was used.
