ILLNESS FATAL SUNDAY TO BLAIR WOMAN, MOTHER OF THREE CHILDREN

Long in ill health and bedfast most of the past several months, Mrs. Richard Daniels, 32, of 601 north Walker avenue died Sunday afternoon at Methodist hospital in Omaha. She had been confined there for several weeks, and only recently had returned from California, where she had gone in an effort to improve her health.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home at 2 p.m. yesterday, the Rev. A. D. Burress of the Crowell Home officiating at Methodist services. Interment followed in Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Daniels, as Edna May Payne, was born October 28, 1908. She was married to Mr. Daniels August 26, 1926, at Crown Point, Indiana, while Mr. Daniels was employed in Gary. They came to Blair in 1928 and have resided here since. Mr. Daniels is employed by the city light department.

Surviving besides the husband, Richard, are two sons, Francis and Fred; one daughter, Barbara; her mother, Mrs. Moran Payne of London, Kentucky; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Tena Daniels of Blair; five sisters and a brother.

Mrs. Daniels belonged to the Methodist church and the Eastern Stars.

MRS. RICHARD DANIELS VICTIM OF LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. Richard Daniels died Sunday at 3:40 p.m. in the Methodist hospital in Omaha following a prolonged illness of over a year. She was the victim of an internal cancer, and although the best surgical talent had been employed, both here and in California, it proved of no avail.

Edna May Payne was born in London, Kentucky October 23, 1908, ad on August 23, 1926 she was married to Richard Daniels in Crown Point, Indiana. In 1928 they moved to Blair where they have since resided.

To them four children were born, one of whom died in infancy. The three living are Francis Marion, age 13 years; Barbara Anne, 11 years; and Fred LeRoy, 9 years. These, with the husband, are left to mourn her parting. Besides these she leaves five sisters and one brother and her mother in London, Kentucky.

She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Eastern Star, and in both organizations was a loyal supporter.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. A. D. Burress officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
