JAMES S. DANIELS DIED AT HOSPITAL WEDNESDAY, JAN. 14

James S. Daniels, a lifetime resident of Blair, died at Memorial Community Hospital last Wednesday, January 14th. He was 71 years old. The Daniels home was at 1269 State Street in Blair.

The deceased was born in Blair May 28th, 1898, and had lived here all of his life. He was a construction laborer and for many years was a familiar figure around many of the projects which went on in Blair.

He was the father of eleven children, seven of whom survive him. His wife, Anna Marie, also survives.

Surviving sons are Charles Daniels and John E. Daniels, both of Blair. The daughters are: Mrs. Russell Hoier (Luella) of Herman; Mrs. Willis Metz (Edna) of Blair; Mrs. John McIntosh (Anna) of Blair; Mrs. Jack Roberts (Eloise) of Blair; Mrs. Don Ward (Doretha) of Blair. There are also 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A sister, Mrs. Rachel Minor, also lives in Blair. In addition to the four children who preceded him in death, a brother and a sister have also died.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Saturday, January 17th with the Rev. Richard Davison conducting the service. Burial was made in Blair.

The pallbearers were Earl Metzler, James Metzler, George Metzler, Ernest Metzler, Calvin Metzler and Harold Metzler.
