Lorsch, Emma Wilhelmina Ida 4/26/1911

Obituary printed in the May 3, 1911 Tribune, Blair, Nebraska; death date determined from the obituary.

Note: the hand-written dates and names on the newspaper clippings indicate the same newspaper, but it has the feel of two separate newspaper articles, with Fred and Fritz, four miles and five miles, and different writing styles. In 1911 there were several competing newspapers in Blair, Nebraska.

Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Lorsch buried a dear little 15-month old baby in our Ft. Calhoun cemetery, April 29, 1911. They are fond parents and this little one will be much missed in the home of both parents and grandparents. Rev. Eckhart of Blair officiated at the home five miles west of the cemetery.

The little life that came to gladden the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lorsch, who live four miles west of Ft. Calhoun, was not long for this world, and on Thursday night of last week the silver cord of life snapped and the little one’s spirit returned to its Maker. Emma Wilhelmina Ida was born November 28, 1909. The funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon by the Rev. E. Eckhardt and the body laid in the tomb at Ft. Calhoun.
