SYLVIA DANIELS, 85

Services for Sylvia Christine Daniels, 85 who died at Lutheran Community Hospital in Norfolk, Nebraska September 6, 1994 were Friday, September 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin with Rev. Delbert Schwarting officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Albion.

Sylvia Christine Daniels was born July 7, 1909 at Garland, Nebraska to John and Marie Luebbe Janszen. She attended Petersburg Public Schools and lived there until she grew up.

She married Andrew J. Daniels October 10, 1928 at Columbus. They farmed several years at Tilden and for many years in the Petersburg community.

In 1961 they retired from active farming and moved to Petersburg where they operated a café for several years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Elgin and of its Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the ABC Extension Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, June 24, 1975; her parents and one son in infancy.

She was survived by two sons, LaVerne and his wife, Geraldine of Lincoln and Marvin and his friend, Doris of Blair; three grandchildren, Michael Daniels of Lincoln, Connie (Mrs. Bill) Lantis and Donna (Mrs. Arthur) Nicholson, both of Iowa Falls, Iowa; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca Nicholson, Shelley Nicholson, Matthew Lantis and Patrick Lantis; other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers were Roy Schmidt, Ernest Uhrenholdt, Warren Wilton, Bob Brachle and Dale Matson.

Brooks Chapel in Elgin was in charge of arrangements.
