JAMES R. DANNER, 53

James R. Danner, 53, of Arlington, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Funeral services were Thursday, Dec. 21, at Arlington Community Church. Interment was in the Arlington Cemetery.

James R. “Jim” Danner was born Sept. 14, 1953, in Fremont to Richard R. and Kathleen Danner. He grew up southwest of Arlington and was a 1971 graduate of Arlington High School.

He had worked at Bennett’s Gun & Cycle in Fremont. He moved to Omaha in the mid 1970s and worked for several motorcycle shops there. He was also employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. He moved to Arlington in 1997.

He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners Lodge in Omaha; was a member of the National Rifle Association; and participated in motorcycle drag racing at Scribner Motor-Plex, where he held several titles.

On March 4, 1989, he married Kimberly A. Scheresky in Omaha. She survives him, as does a son, James Danner, Jr. of Arlington; mother, Kathleen Danner of Fremont; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Jim Cunningham of Omaha; in-laws, Laurence and Lenore Scheresky of Des Lacs, N.D.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, and sister, Kathy Lynn Danner.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
