Funeral Services Monday For Bernard Miller

Funeral services were scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun, for Bernard L. Miller, who passed away on Friday, January 16 at the age of 69. Rosary was held on Sunday evening at the Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home, who was in charge of arrangements.

Bernard L Miller was born at Prescott, Iowa on July 30, 1911 to William and Gertrude Miller. He served in World War II, lived for a while in rural Fort Calhoun and in recent years in Fort Calhoun.

Survivors include his wife, Frances (Nancy); two sons, Tim and Mike, both of Fort Calhoun; a daughter, Susan Genoway of Bayard, Nebraska; two sisters, Anges Brokaw of Inglewood, California and Helen Hayes of Creston, Iowa; a brother, Vincent of Omaha; and eight grandchildren.

Father Leo A. Kreikemeier officiated at the services, and burial was made in Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Miller, Dan Miller, Mike Miller, Ron Brokaw, Bill Hayes and Mark Hayes.
