Bert Miller Died At San Diego Thursday Nov. 18

Bert E. Miller, a former Blair man, died last Thursday, November 18th at San Diego, California. He was the brother of the late W. H. (Bill) Miller and Etta B. Smith, both of Blair.

Mr. Miller farmed on the bottoms east of Ft. Calhoun for many years before moving to California in the late 30’s. He was well known in Ft. Calhoun where he at one time served as Mayor.

In California he was employed for many years as a superintendent in a tuna cannery but had retired from this work several years ago. He was 83 years of age at the time of his death.

He is survived by his widow, Virginia, by a son, Stanley Miller and by two daughters, Joyce and Peggy. There were a number of grandchildren.

Interment was made in California.
