ELIZABETH ANN MILLER RITES TODAY

Funeral rites for Elizabeth Ann Miller were held at Campbell Mortuary at 2 p.m. this Thursday afternoon with Rev. Sidney L. McCaig officiating.

Deceased was born in Blair on December 8, 1920, and spent her childhood here, graduating from the Blair High School with the Class of 1938. She went to Denver about four years ago where she attended college and after finishing school there she was employed as secretary of the Aetna Life Insurance Co. of Denver.

She became ill about a year ago, and the past nine months she was confined to her bed. She died on December 31, and the mother accompanied the remains back to the old hometown. The father, John E. Miller, Sr. of Reno, Nevada and the brother, John E. Miller of the armed forces, arrived in time for the funeral services.

Besides the immediate family, she leaves a host of friends and relatives who mourn her passing.

Had Been Ill A Year Prior To Her Death Last Sunday Morning

Funeral services for Miss Bette Ann Miller of Denver, Colo., a resident of Blair until four years ago, are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Campbell Mortuary.

The Rev. Sidney McCaig, pastor of First Methodist church, will have charge of the rites. Interment is to be in Blair cemetery.

Ill nearly a year, Miss Miller had been bedfast for the past nine months at the home of her mother, Mrs. Hazel Miller of Denver. She died Sunday morning Dec. 31, a few days after her 24th birthday.

Miss Miller was born at Blair on Dec. 8, 1920. She attended the Blair city schools, with the exception of a year spent with other members of the family at Hood River, Ore., and was graduated from Blair high school in 1938, a top-ranking member of her class. Four years ago she went to Denver where she attended school and later was secretary at Aetna Life Insurance Company.

Surviving Miss Miller are her mother, Mrs. Hazel Miller of Denver; a younger brother, John E. Miller, in the service at Corpus Christi, Tex.; her father, John E. Miller of Reno, Nev.; other relatives and a host of friends also regret her untimely passing.
