Bruce B. Miller, 50, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at his home in Blair.

Funeral services were Thursday, March 5, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment was at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Livermore, Iowa.

Bruce B. Miller was born July 25, 1958, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Bernard and Delores (Hinz) Miller. At the age of 10, he moved to Western Springs, Ill. He attended the University of Iowa before leaving for Las Vegas, Nev., in 1981. He spent several years in the banking industry in Las Vegas and Omaha before settling in Blair. For the past 21 years, he has been working at Mid America Computer Corporation, where he enjoyed his work and the many relationships he developed with coworkers, customers and suppliers.

He was an avid sports fan with a specific passion for the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Green Bay Packers. Hawkeye home football games and tailgating were a cherished tradition he enjoyed each season with family and friends. He loved golfing and fishing, especially on his many trips to Long Lake in the Park Rapids area of Minnesota. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends where he was known for his hospitality, generosity, and culinary skills that were enjoyed by all. Anybody who knew him considered hi to have a “heart of gold and as someone who would do anything for them without hesitation.

He is survived by his mother, Delores Miller, of Dubuque, Iowa; sister, Shelly Molidor of Marion, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Renee, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and sister-in-law, Paulette Miller, of Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard, and a brother, Mark Miller.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
