Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 27 at Emmaus Lutheran Church at Kennard for Fredrick T. Puls, 86, who died Monday, September 25 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Rev. Clifford Hanson will officiate. Burial will be in the German Cemetery near Bennington.

Fredrick T. Puls was born May 17, 1903 at rural Bennington. He was raise in the Bennington area.

He married Edith Thaden January 25, 1928 in Omaha. He farmed in Douglas and Washington Counties.

He retired from farming in 1968. After retiring he worked at Marshall Nurseries until 1980. He moved into Arlington in 1972.

He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard and the Plattdeutcher Berien Benefit Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna Bergman Puls; a brother, Herbert; and two sisters, Margaret Puls and Annie Ferguson.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, Arlington; two daughters, Kathy Puls of Arlington and Mrs. Delbert (Margaret) Braesch of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Wrich of Blair and Mrs. Alvin (Lillie) Wulf of Kennard; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tom Braesch, Robert Braesch, Pete Rix, Carl Puls, Gene Bunz and Ronnie Wulf. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Braesch, Roger Thaden, Ricky Thaden, Harvey Kay, Leland Bunz and Roger Wulf.

Memorials can be to Emmaus Lutheran Church or the Arlington Rescue Squad.

Visitation is in progress at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home.
