Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at John A. Gentleman Westside Chapel for Samuel J. Purchase, 68, of Fort Calhoun. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Samuel J. Purchase was a retired sheet metal worker. He was in the heating and air conditioning business.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice; sons, Ronald Purchase, Robert Purchase, Gary Purchase, William Purchase, all of Omaha; Paul Purchase, Fullerton, California; Jack Purchase, Phoenix, Arizona; and Richard Purchase, Cedar Falls, Iowa; and a daughter, Virginia A. Parham, Columbia, South Carolina. Twenty-three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Purchase, Hawthorne, California; and a sister, Ruth Tatreau, Omaha, also survive him.
