OVE T. ANDERSON, 91, DIED HERE MONDAY, DEC. 21

Ove T. Anderson, a resident of Blair for many years, died on Monday, December 21st at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He was 91 years old.

Mr. Anderson had lived an active life in the business circles of Blair and Washington county and had won the respect of all with whom he came in contact. His death followed closely after that of his wife who died September 5th of this year. Following her death he had given up his home on 23rd street and had gone to live at the Good Shepherd Home but his life there was brief.

He had held an active interest in the affairs of his church and his community and had had close connections with all of these during his lifetime.

He was born February 5, 1873, at Cedar Falls, Iowa and came to Blair as a young man. For a time he served as Treasurer of Dana College and then became Washington County Clerk, a position which he held for thirteen years. After that he entered into the Insurance, real estate and abstract business, an activity which he continued until his retirement a few years ago.

Mr. Anderson was one who worked quietly and patiently and filled a place and served a need to his community in a definite but inconspicuous manner through the many years of his life.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul Fisher (Margaret) of Ft. Riley, Kansas and Mrs. Wauneta Kent of Houston, Texas, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 24th at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. George Pallesen will officiate.

The Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
