CHARLES LEE DAVIS DIED WEDNESDAY AT OKLAHOMA CITY

Charles Lee Davis, son of the late Jesse Davis of the Glendale School District, died Wednesday, July 2nd at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was 61 years of age and was a native of the Herman area. Prior to his death, he had been living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he was engaged in radio and television work affiliated with station KLDR.

The deceased was born June 3rd, 1914 in the Glendale School District northwest of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his wife and is survived by a son, Charles Jr. of Concordia, Kansas. He is also survived by three brothers and by five sisters.

The brothers are Howard Davis of Florida; Jessie Davis Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland; and Allan Davis of Alhoa, Oregon.

The sisters are Mrs. Arlis (Dorothy) Kinning, of Pender, Nebraska; Mrs. Ted (Nina) Going of Lyons, Nebraska; Mrs. Howard (Billie) Cook of Kennard; Mrs. Paul (Maxine) Schneider of Blair; and Mrs. Clifford (Madeline) Moller, also of Blair.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary last Monday, July 7th. The Rev. Robert Bee conducted the service and burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ron, Don, Bob and Arlis Kinning; Ron Schneider; and Jim Cook.
