MARILYN A. DAVIS, 63

Marilyn A. Davis, 63, of Oakton, Va., died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, in Blair, after a long battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Marilyn Ann Gee was born on Aug. 13, 1945 in Washington, D.C., to Thomas and Clare (Huss) Gee. She spent her entire life in the D.C. area.

Her career spanned many directions and started as an executive secretary for the American Pharmaceutical Association. She later worked at the Planning Research Corporation, and was the personal secretary to the chairman of CODEX Corp. She was a secretary to an orthopedic surgeon and an office manager at Dynergy Capital Corp. She eventually branched out to owner and executive vice president of W & M Enterprises, which dealt in plastic laminating machines.

She was a friend and colleague to many people. She loved to play bridge, enjoyed cooking for family and friends, and treasured her time gardening at her home in Oakton, Va.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Ana Davis of Blair; daughter April Davis of Oakton, Va.; grandchildren, Brian Davis Jr. and Anthony Davis; two brothers and sister-in-law, David and Jean Gee of Waldorf, Md., and Michael Gee of Phoenix, Ariz.; and sister, Frances Gee and Bob Thomas of Livonia, Mich.
