MRS. ANDREW HOIER

Mrs. Andrew Hoier, christened Kristine Nielsen, was born on October 5, 1887, at Kennard, Nebraska, and passed away in her home at Herman, Nebraska, on September 22, 1949, after having ailed for a couple of years , and critically so the past three months. From her fourth to her eighth years she lived in Denmark where her parents had taken up residence, but returned with them to America, since which time she has lived in or around Blair and Herman. On June 14, 1902 she united in marriage with Andrew Hoier at Council Bluffs, Ia.

Mrs. Hoier became the mother of seven children, two of whom passed away in early infancy. Those who survive their mother are Laura Marie at home; Mrs. Henry Danielmeyer of Arlington, Nebraska; Howard Hoier of Arlington, and Russel and Earl Hoier of Herman. In addition to her husband she is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mrs. Chris Gutschow; Mrs. Henry Petersen; Mrs. Thorwald Jorgensen, Mrs. J. M. Stricklett and Mrs. Carl Graverholt, all of Blair; and by one brother, Chris Nielsen of Huron, South Dakota.

The funeral service was held at the Bendorf Mortuary and First Lutheran Church on Sunday, September 25, with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating. Burial was made in Blair Cemetery.
