MRS. JENSEN DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

WIFE OF NELS M. JENSEN WAS MOTHER OF SIX; WAS WELL KNOWN HERE

Mrs. Nels M. Jensen passed away at her home in Blair on Sunday, January 27th following a long illness during which time her husband and children gave her their very best care.

Mrs. Jensen was Anna Truhlsen before her marriage to Nels M. Jensen on November 3, 1897. She was born in Calhoun on August 26, 1876.

Mr. and Mrs. Jensen lived in Iowa before moving to a farm in the March School district. Here they raised their family of six children. For a time they lived in Blair and they have also resided in Omaha. They observed their Golden Wedding anniversary nine years ago.

Mrs. Jensen was a kind and patient mother and wife. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Blair.

Survivors besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Ross (Myrtle) of Omaha; Mrs. John Loomis (Mildred) of Brookeville, Ohio; and Mrs. Merle Wardell (Enid) of Kennard; and three sons, Harold of Kennard; Alton of Herman; and Marshall of Winter Park, Florida. There are eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Frank Siert (Lena) of Blair and two brothers, Elmer Truhlsen of Blair and Henry Truhlsen of Herman also survive.

Rev. Harold C. Jorgensen officiated at the funeral service at the First Lutheran Church Wednesday, January 30, at 2:00 P.M. A nephew, Waldo Wilson of Omaha was soloist. The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harold, Alton and Roger Jensen, Merle Wardell, Herman Rahlfs and Lowell Christensen.
