MRS. F. SCHAFER DIED SUNDAY
Mrs. Frank Schafer, a resident of this city for the past sixty-two years, passed away at her home on West Grant street Sunday at midnight.
Mrs. Schafer first came to this county from Kansas to keep house for a widowed uncle who had a family of six children. Here she met and married Frank Schafer on December 31, 1891.
To Mr. and Mrs. Schafer four children were born, three of whom are still living. The living are Mrs. Grover Wilkins of Arlington; Mrs. Roland Smith of DeSoto; and Harold of Omaha. Besides these and the bereaved husband, she leaves ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, also three brothers and one sister.
She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Rebecca Lodge.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Methodist church with Rev. Homer Dickerson officiating and interment under the supervision of the Campbell Mortuary was made in the Blair cemetery.
