Eugene A Quick, 81

Eugene A. Quick, 81, of Blair, died Sunday Feb. 3, 2008, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be at the Tekamah Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Eugene Alvin Quick was born April 25, 1926, in Tekamah to Guy and Mary Celo (Meyers) Quick. He attended Tekamah High School.

On Oct. 21, 1950, he married Mary Lou Carson. The couple had three children.

His wife died in April of 1977. Mr. Quick married Darlene Wallace in the fall of 1979. Mr. Quick was retired from the trucking industry. He enjoyed camping, fishing, bingo, cards, and outdoor activities.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharolyn and Lyle Moss of Logan, Iowa; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne Quick of Omaha, and Kim and Brenda Quick of Blair; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Leah Quick of Blair; five step-children and their spouses, Dave and Viola Marriett of West Virginia, Rick and Chris Lord of Ohio, Monica Wallace of Omaha, Nino and Tara Wallace of Blair, and Doug and Birdy Tubbs of Omaha; 12 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene.

Memorials are suggested to the family or the charity of the donor’s choice.
