Mary Lou Quick 48, Died Here Monday, April 4

Funeral services are being held today, Thursday, April 7, 1977 at the First United Methodist Church in Blair at 2:00 p.m. for Mary Lou Quick. She passed away at the Blair Hospital on April 4, 1977 after a lingering illness.

She was born on April 30, 1929 at Craig, Nebr., the daughter of Mabel and Glen Carson. She spent her childhood at Lyons, Nebr, and attended the Lyons school graduating in the class of 1947.

On October 21, 1951 she was united in marriage to Eugene Quick at Blair. They made their home in Fremont for several years and moved to Blair in 1955 to make their home. They became the parents of three children Wayne, Sharolyn, and Kim.

She had been a employee of the Blair Telephone Company for the past 12 years. She and her family are members of the First United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Christian Womens Club.

Mary Lou was a devoted wife and mother and a friend to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her husband Eugene, sons Wayne of Blair, Kim of the family home and daughter Sharolyn Moss of Logan, Iowa, daughter-in-law, Barbara Quick and son-in-law, Lyle Moss.

She has 7 surviving brothers and sisters namely Julia Tranmer and Jack Carson of Craig, Opal Thomas of Tekamah, Donald Carson and Jeanette Johnson of Oakland, Joyce Smith of Denver, Colo, and Kenley Carson of Scribner. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lloyd and three infant brothers.

She will be laid to rest in the Tekamah Cemetery.
