Chauncey Miller, 97

Services for Chauncey Miller, 97 of Blair and formerly of McCook who died June 2, 1992 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair were Saturday, June 6 at Reichmuth Funeral Home in Valley. Rev. Jack Sample officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Elkhorn.

Chauncey Miller was bon November 9, 1894 in Seward and attended Seward schools. He was a dispatcher for Burlington Northern Railroad in McCook.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Lotus Lodge No. 289 of Ravenna and was the group’s Jordan Medal holder.

He married Viola Detrick. She preceded him in death in 1990.

He is survived by a son, Robert of West Chicago, Illinois; three daughters, Marilyn Bruce of Fremont, Janice Gruner of Gainesville, Florida and Marica Pryor of Omaha; a sister, Maurnie Wehrs of Seward; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Robert Miller and Eugene Pryor.

Reichmuth Funeral Home in Valley was in charge of arrangements.
