Darline E. Miller, 63

Darline E. “Dolly” Miller, 63, of Hooper died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1999, at her daughter’s home in Hooper.

Services were scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hooper, with the Rev. Greg Berger officiating.

Burial was to be in Hooper Cemetery.

A prayer service was set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, with the Rev. Phil Ronzheimer of Fremont Alliance Church officiating. Visitation was scheduled for 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Moser Funeral Chapel in Fremont.

Mrs. Miller was born Sept. 6, 1936, in Telbasta. After her marriage to Francis Miller on Sept. 6, 1956, the couple moved to Arlington and farmed. They moved to Winslow in 1987, then to Hooper in 1992.

She was a cook at the Fremont Area Medical Center the past 13 years. Also, she baked cookies and wedding cakes professionally for the last 20 years.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church at Hooper and past member of V.F.W. auxiliaries in Arlington and Hooper. She was a 4-H leader, too, for more than 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Francis; sons and daughters-in-law Ed and Sherri Miller of Hooper; Mark Miller of Washington, D.C.; Tom Miller of Fremont; Chris and Melissa Miller and Mitch and Liesa Miller, all of Fremont; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Mark Schafersman and Penny Miller of Hooper; and Joani and Matt Meier of West Point; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kathy Timm of West Point; Frank and Elaine Timm and August and Barb Timm, all of Nickerson, and Lawrence and Lois Timm of Hooper; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann Hetrick, Alice and Alfred Clausen, all of Fremont, Irene Kuddes of Lincoln and Lois and Dana Palmer of Hooper.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Emma (Lambrecht) Timm; two brothers, Charles and Harold Timm and one sister, Grace Beadman.

Memorials may be given to the Fremont Cancer Center, Fremont Area Medical Center Hospice Program, Dodge County 4-H Foundation or Redeemer Lutheran Church Day Care, Hooper.

Arrangements were made with Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
