ROLAND DAVIS, WELL KNOWN DECORATOR, DIED THURSDAY

Roland H. Davis, well known Blair man, died at his home at 2123 Davis Avenue Thursday, July 2nd. He had been in failing health for a number of months.

Mr. Davis was 61 years old, having been born March 5, 1909 at Lyons, Nebraska. He has lived in Blair for many years.

He was a painter and decorator by trade. Much of his work was on new construction in Omaha.

Mr. and Mrs. Davis were married in Council Bluffs, November 1, 1929 and they moved to Blair 27 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Erma and by four sons and a daughter. The sons are Roland Davis Jr., of Blair; Roy Davis of Hawaii; Robert Davis of Omaha; and Fred Davis who is in the Armed Forces serving in England. A daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Clifford Raymond) lives in Blair.

Private funeral services are being held this (Monday) morning at the Campbell Mortuary with Father Daniel F. Brick conducting the service. Burial is being made in Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair.
