ROSS E. DAVIS, 89

Ross E. Davis, 89, of Fremont, formerly of Blair and Kennard areas, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Blair Cemetery.

Ross E. Davis was born June 27, 1912, on a farm in the rural Tekamah area to Ben and Rose (Ellis) Davis. He received his education in the rural Evergreen School.

He farmed all his working years near Blair and Kennard.

On Oct. 16, 1938, he was married in Fremont to Roselena Petersen of Blair. In 1970, the Davises moved into Fremont, where Mr. Davis continued farming.

He is survived by his son, Alan Davis of Grand Island; a daughter and son-in-law, Marian and Orville Carlson of Fremont; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Orrel Rose Nelson of Fremont; and a sister-in-law, Helen Davis of Tekamah.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Roselena, three brothers and a grandchild.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
