Mrs. Emma Miller Buried In Herman

Mrs. Emma Eliza Miller passed away at the Grandview Rest Home at Union, Nebraska on October 7th, where she had been for the past three weeks.

Emma Hanssen was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Hanssen on July 18, 1882 at Hooper, Nebraska. In her early life she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church. On August 28, 1901 she was married to Peter Miller. They lived on a farm west of Herman until 1921 when they moved to Herman. Mr. Miller died in 1929.

She is survived by seven children: Mrs. Clayton Sheets (Lucy), Mrs. Luella Metzler, Mrs. Clifford West (Viola), all of Herman; Mrs. Clyde Bragg (Maxine) of Blair, Walter Miller of Tekamah, Mrs. Roma Gilliland of Walthill, and Lester Miller of Kansas City, Kansas. Seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive her. A son Delmar preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be this Thursday afternoon, October 10th at the Herman Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Bruns officiating. The Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements and burial will be in the Herman cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gus Lowe, Gil Potadle, Kenneth Freeman, Walter Kruse, Larry Brodersen and Terry Andrew.
