Funeral services for Ethel Mae Miller, 78, of Blair were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2000 at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Mrs. Miller died Thursday, May 18, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Ethel was born on February 18, 1922, in rural Blair to Ralph and Effie (Olson) Ray. She attended the rural Glendale School and graduated from Blair High School.

On September 14, 1947, she married Niels Miller. She was a resident of the Herman and Blair area her entire life. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Surviving are many nephews and their spouses, including Arnold and Wanda Frahm of Blair, Harold and Mary Frahm of Hemingford, many great nieces and their spouses, including Mrs. Harry (Diane) Zimmerman of Tekamah, Mrs. Philip (Janet) Whitehead of Blair, Mrs. Steve (Joni) Robb of Nathrop, Colo., Mrs. Jeff (Julie) Swanson of davenport, Iowa, many great nephews and their spouses, including Keith and Cherri Kjeldgaard of Tekamah, Robert and Peggy Frahm of Blair, Russell and Tina Frahm of Hemingford, Clint and Debbie Frahm of Blair, many cousins, including Mildred Divoll, Mrs. Gary (Cheryl), Darrell Divoll and Dick Alback, all of Omaha.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband Niels, and daughter, Mary Ann.

Memorials may be directed to the First Lutheran Church.
