Floyd E. Miller, 75, of Tekamah, died Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services were Thursday, July 20, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Floyd Earl Miller was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Burt County to Irvan and Carrie (MacDonald) Miller.

On Aug. 5, 1962, he married Geraldine Rose Kreutz at the Trumbull Christian Church. The couple farmed for many years north of Craig before moving to Tekamah in 1972. They retired from farming in 1983, then moved to North Platte in 1984, where they owned and operated the Stop Inn Motel. In 1989, they moved to Kearney, and in 1991, they returned to Tekamah.

Mr. Miller was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah. He enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool at the senior center, and having coffee at the City Café.

He is survived by his children, Jamie Beachler of Albuquerque, N.M., Don Miller of Omaha, Joy and Alan Biffar of Blair, Mary and Richard Higgins of Porterville, Calif., Bonnie Shelor and Jeff Mahan of Fort Worth, Texas; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine, in 2002, and a sister, Erma Jean.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Pelan Funeral Services in Tekamah was in charge of arrangements.
